Start with a survey question that supports a decision. A clear label, a suitable field type and a consistent column name help observations remain useful after collection. Add location so an answer can be understood in its spatial context.

Photographs and recordings can add detail that a short text field misses. Before fieldwork, test the form on the device you will use, check camera and microphone permissions, and verify how its offline and synchronisation behaviour works in that browser.

Review login and data-visibility settings before sharing a form link. Back in the workspace, add responses to a layer and inspect them beside imagery and analysis results. The aim is a traceable connection between the observation, its location and the conversation that follows.
